We are committed to working together with all communities to reach 1 GT of carbon emissions by 2030. To achieve this we have developed an energy management program aimed at improving access to all communities in equitable transition. Our programs have the opportunity to create 200 000 jobs in electrical installs. We partner with local governments and small businesses to create opportunities for general contractors and certified electricians in all our programs.
Scalar works with local communities and businesses to develop community solar projects. Our programs are designed to give those who cannot easily install solar on-site- renters, for example, or those lacking adequate roof space an opportunity to participate in renewable projects. Our program is limited to a few states. The scalar community program allows subscribers to receive a credit on their electricity bill for subscribing to a solar array built offsite. Our customers have multiple offtakes that volunteer their participation. They are families, businesses, non-profits, and other groups. We are proud to offer this partnership to local governments for Low-Income Solar initiatives and Multi-Family Affordable Housing.
The on-site system contributes directly to your building’s electricity supply
Your master-metered building signs up for bill credits from our off-site solar system
Your multi-metered building signs up for bill credits on behalf of tenants and distributes credits accordingly.
Biogas is an environmentally-friendly, renewable energy source. It’s produced from organic matter, which in our case is 90% cactus leaves mixed with 10% dry-weight cattle manure. Our Biogas investments are used as a direct replacement to Propane, LPG, or Methane for cooking, water heating, space heating and to fuel a petrol engine. Biogas is a naturally occurring and renewable source of energy, resulting from the breakdown of organic matter. Biogas is not to be confused with ‘natural’ gas, which is a non-renewable source of power.
