Dorotha is extensively trained in epidemiological methods, with particular emphasis on cancer, social, and molecular epidemiology. Her research focuses on elucidating the interrelationships among modifiable dietary and lifestyle exposures, the microbiome, and cancer risk and progression using equitable approaches. Her focus includes using multilevel approaches, encompassing an array of social determinants of health (e.g., built environment), to inform the reduction of the cancer burden among marginalized communities.
